Olde Towne Carolers 2022 Recap: Our 18th Season!

I know I always say it, but I can’t believe we finished another year of caroling!  2022 was the 18th season of Olde Towne Carolers.  I started this company from the bottom up, all the way back in 2005, and I’m continually surprised with how much it’s grown. I’m so super proud of OTC, and the wonderful musicians that bring their talents to our many happy clients.

I wanted to take some time to feature highlights of the 2022 season.  First off, it was our busiest one ever!  The Christmas spirit is alive and well, and there’s no better way to share it than with the gift of beautiful music.

We already have bookings coming in for 2023!  (Book early if you’d like us to join you at your event!)

WFMZ CHANNEL 69:

Early on in the season, we made our annual visit to WFMZ Channel 69 for the Music Monday segment.  In addition to our on-air interview, we performed a few songs for the live broadcast.  Here are some photo highlights!

LONGWOOD GARDENS:

We were delighted to return to Longwood Gardens for another carol-filled season!  Our quartets could be seen most evenings between Thanksgiving and New Year’s.  We also had several dates where we had double quartets present at Longwood to spread extra holiday cheer!
Here are some photos from Longwood Gardens:

I even got a chance to explore some of Longwood’s beautiful displays before one of our performances.  If you haven’t been to Longwood during the holiday, you should put it at the top of your holiday to-do list!

Easton Winter Village:

This year we returned to Easton Winter Village, with even more dates!  We could be seen strolling around the Candle in the center of town every weekend!  Here are some highlights!

Skytop Lodge:

You could see Olde Towne Carolers every Saturday during the holiday season at Skytop Lodge in the Poconos.  Skytop always puts on a beautiful and festive display, and we always enjoy being a part of it!

Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley:

We’ve been regular performers at the Promenade Shops in Center Valley for many years!  We were happy to return for some fun, festive weekend performances for the busy shoppers at this outdoor shopping center!

Piano and Voice Duo:

Even before Olde Towne Carolers existed, I was singing gigs with Mr. Terry Musselman (who is the father of one of my best friends.)  Terry is an accomplished jazz pianist, and we bring a well-rounded mix of jazz, classical, and crossover sounds to our performances. We even throw in some old standards to round out our holiday repertoire!  Here are photos from some of our performances:

Washington D.C. and Baltimore Expansion:

This year, we expanded our roster to the Baltimore/D.C. corridor!  We had had many requests for carolers in that area in the past, but always had to send singers from PA, which was not always logistically or financially possible.  So we added some talented singers from Washington D.C and Baltimore!  Here are some photo highlights!

Singing Carol-Grams:

We pioneered the Singing Carol-Gram several years ago, and many others have copied us since.  Carol-Grams are the perfect special touch for those that want something a little more brief, or for those who want to send a unique musical gift.  We even expanded our Carol-Gram options: Standard (3 songs) or Extended (6 songs.)  And you can book 1-3 singers to customize it just right.  Here are some highlights from our Carol-Grams!

Quakertown Tree Lighting:

It’s always a joy to sing at the community tree lighting in my hometown of Quakertown, PA!  We went from store to store and spread our holiday cheer for all the revelers to hear!

Caroling in Boston:

We expanded our roster to include Boston back in 2014, and it has continued to see great success!  I went to grad school at New England Conservatory in Boston, so when I first thought of expanding to a new region, this fantastic city made the most sense.  Every expansion we have is made up of singers who have been strictly vetted; we hire the best of the best, and we NEVER outsource to other companies!  Here are some highlights from Boston and the surrounding area.

Local Country Clubs:

We always love singing for the festivities at the local country clubs!

Blue Bloods TV Show:

This year, we performed again at the crew party for the Blue Bloods TV Show in Brooklyn!

Caroling Octets

When clients are looking for a dramatic big sound to bring real gravitas and excitement to their events, hiring an octet is the way to go!  We had the opportunity to sing in octet form a few times this season, and it was a thrill for us AND the clients!
